
According to the Gulfnews, 54% of 693 non-Kuwaiti teachers whose visas expired while abroad (locked out due to COVID 19)are terminated by the Ministry of Education.
It appears this step was to save the Ministry of Education from paying back salaries. According to the source, terminated teachers are no more needed. Teachers who are required (specialized teachers) will be issued visas and back wages.
