According to Kuwait Constitutional Court, asking employees to leave the country to receive their end-of-service compensation is unconstitutional.
This all goes back to 2018 when the Kuwait Civil Service Commission ruled for expats to receive their end of service money; they need to show proof of leaving the country. The ruling was meant to stop people from switching sponsors and changing companies.
Today, the constitutional court decided that the Civil Service Commission ruling is unconstitutional. Expats can receive the end of service without proof of leaving the country.
