The government built an incentive system to encourage Kuwaiti citizens to show up for work in Kuwait. However, multiple reports have mentioned that some people never made it to their work location, or the work location never existed.
After a thorough investigation, The Ministry of Interior arrested 20 people who allegedly unlawfully accessed and collected the government’s incentive fund.
According to the Alqabas newspaper, the court released 20 Kuwaitis accused of unlawfully collecting employment-incentive funds through deceptive practices.
The report mentions that the accusers returned the money they have collected.
